Cadillac has called on the services of some recognizable Hollywood celebrities to promote the advanced Super Cruise system of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade.
The first video found below stars The Jonas Brothers, Tiffany Haddish and her younger brother Justin, dancers Stephen Boss and Allison Holker Boss, and Sofia Vergara and husband Joe Manganiello.
Each of the celebrities tested the advanced driver-assistance feature along freeways in Los Angeles and also had the opportunity to test out the system’s automatic lane-changing feature. As you can imagine, they were all very impressed by the system.
The American car manufacturer has been eagerly promoting the Super Cruise system in recent months. In fact, Cadillac’s Super Bowl commercial in February focused exclusively on the hands-free driving assistant, triggering a spike in searches for Cadillac across sites such as Autotrader, Cars.com, and Kelley Blue Book.
While it is Tesla’s Autopilot system that is arguably the most well-known driver assistance system on the market, tests have shown that GM’s Super Cruise is actually superior to Autopilot. In fact, a study from Consumer Reports in October 2020 concluded that Super Cruise is the best system on the market thanks to its use of a driver-facing infrared camera that monitors the person behind the wheel and ensures they are always ready to take over control. Tesla’s Autopilot doesn’t have a driver monitoring system.
