The 2021 Buick Envision features an eye-catching design and the company has finally detailed the redesigned crossover.
Currently arriving at U.S. dealerships, the 2021 Envision will be offered in three different trims with pricing starting at $32,995.
Kicking things off is the entry-level Envision Preferred which features a stylish exterior with LED IntelliBeam headlights, silver roof rails and 18-inch aluminum wheels with bright silver finish.
Moving into the cabin, there are cloth and leatherette seats with 8-way power adjustment on the driver’s side. The model also features a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 4.2-inch driver information center and an 8-inch infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Rounding out the highlights are an auto-dimming rearview mirror, an ambient lighting system and active noise cancellation technology. The model also has cruise control, a six-speaker audio system and a 60/40 split-folding rear bench.
On the safety front, the Envision comes standard with an assortment of driver assistance systems. Highlights include automatic emergency braking, forward collision alert and front pedestrian braking. Buyers will also find a rearview camera, lane change alert with side blind zone alert, lane keep assist with lane departure warning, rear cross traffic alert and rear park assist.
Moving up the trim ladder is the mid-level Envision Essence, which starts at $36,995. It has a slightly revised exterior with a hands-free power liftgate and 18-inch machined aluminum wheels with a charcoal metallic finish.
Bigger changes occur in the cabin as the Essence boasts leather upholstery, an 8-way power front passenger seat and a heated steering wheel. Other niceties include heated front seats, an air ionizer and a seven-speaker audio system with an amplifier.
Last but not least, there’s a dual-zone automatic climate control system and a larger 8-inch driver information system. The Essence also comes equipped with a 10.2-inch infotainment system.
Sitting at the top of the range is the Envision Avenir which begins at $41,395. This marks the first time the Avenir trim has been offered on Buick’s mid-size crossover and it adds unique styling features inside and out.
On the outside, there’s an exclusive mesh grille and tinted chrome trim. The model also rides on the unique 20-inch wheels that feature a pearl nickel finish.
Stepping inside, Avenir owners will find diamond-quilted perforated leather seats with heating and ventilation up front. Other highlights include GPS navigation, a wireless smartphone charger, heated rear seats and a driver’s seat massage function.
Regardless of which trim is selected, all Envisions are powered by a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 228 hp (170 kW / 231 PS) and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm) of torque. The engine has start/stop technology and is paired to a nine-speed automatic gearbox. Front-wheel drive is standard, while all-wheel drive is a $1,800 option.
